Briefly Read

Our aim is to help you get the most out of reading

That doesn’t mean reading like a businessperson, mining books for information that can advance your career.

We won’t be sharing articles like “Ten tricks to hack any book” because reading is a pleasure not a commodity. Books are a timeless source of entertainment and knowledge, not a business manual to be hacked.

At Briefly Read, we will encourage you to read differently. To read for pleasure and with purpose. To encounter fresh perspectives, consider diverse opinions and hear new voices.

If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking.

Haruki Murakami

It should never be forgotten that storytelling has its origins in an oral culture, in the exchange of tales, dreams and fantasies, and the shared experience of new worlds and adventures.

Although reading has now become primarily a solitary pursuit, that doesn’t mean books can no longer be enjoyed collectively. Briefly Read aims to readdress this and create a collaborative reading experience.

Peruse our reviews to find your next favourite book or dive straight into a reading challenge. Discover ways to make your reading more meaningful and get the most out of every book you pick up.
